ministrieslab has always been something of an amorphous and rickety thing. Merianna and I have constantly sought out a direction, inspiration, and a search for “meaning” behind this idea that we’ve shared for years. However, it’s become clearer over the last year that this isn’t only intended to be a “hands-on” experience for fellow lay leaders and clergy seeking something else here in Columbia, SC, but also a shared experience that we can explore via our site and blog here.
So, we’re launching ministrieslab in full as a platform for creative exploration of fellowship and what that might look like. Some of our posts here will deal with the realities of what we are experiencing in our weekly chapel sessions or food drives or water collections or ministries to those in transitional situations, but the bulk of the posts here will be from the point of view of seeking something different in covering news and views from the worlds of ministry. At least that what’s I think.
I’m sure there will be some controversy and we won’t always agree on issues such as polity or theology or social hot takes… but the idea of coming together to explore our place in the world and in relation to each other and God is a calling that I hope we can all explore here.
All who seek are welcome to this fellowship and this lab of ideas.
